Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard says he'd like to see Raheem Sterling and Jordan Henderson sign new contracts before he leaves the club at the end of the season.
Both players are nearing the end of their current deals, and Gerrard says every effort needs to be made to ensure they remain at Anfield.
"I see Henderson with a year left (on his contract)," said the Liverpool captain, "and I see Sterling it's in the paper too much and I know there's no smoke without fire.

"For me the message is to the club to get these done sharpish, because these are the future of the club."
