Mass celebrations are underway in Germany tonight as they're crowned World Cup champions.

200-thousand people watched a public showing of the game in Rio at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate.

The only goal of the match came in the second half of extra time when Mario Gotze scored the winner.

The result was a tough one to call with Germany having won three times and Argentina twice.
