A German biathlete has failed a drugs test at the Winter Olympics.

Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle tested positive for a stimulant in Sochi.

The German Ski Federation has confirmed both of the athlete's samples tested on Thursday and Friday returned the same result.

Meanwhile, the Italian Olympic Committee says bobsledder William Frullani has also been kicked out of the Games for doping.

Until today nobody had tested positive for banned substances at this year's Games.
