England U21 manager Gareth Southgate has confirmed that he is keeping tabs on Ireland U21 international Jack Grealish.
The talented Aston Villa winger has represented Ireland at youth level but is still deciding between declaring for the Boys in Green or England at senior level.
With Grealish still undecided, Southgate is not giving up on potentially enticing the English-born player towards England rather than sticking with Ireland.
"I haven’t spoken to him personally but certainly people from our organisation have kept in contact. We have been monitoring him but in the end it’s up to the player," said the former England player.
"He’s going to make his decision on where he wants to go. More and more, because of the nature of society, there are several players in our system who are dual nationality and had that choice to make."
