Anthony Cunningham is staying on as Galway hurling manager for the next two years, following ratification by the county board last night.

Ex-Sligo boss Kevin Walsh has been confirmed as the new football manager for the Tribesmen on a three-year term.

I spoke to Galway Bay FM GAA-commentator Sean Walsh, who talked us through reactions to the appointments in the county. You can hear Sean's analysis below.

In other hurling news, Kilkenny's Brian Cody may face sanctions for comments made about referee Barry Kelly.

The Cats manager described the awarding of a last minute free against Brian Hogan in the drawn All-Ireland final as a "criminal decision," and reports today say that the Central Competition Control Committee is expected to investigate.
