Galway will be back in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division after seeing off UCD in the second leg of their Promotion/Relegation playoff.

Already leading 2 - 1 from the first leg, the team from the west beat the Students 3 - 0 to complete a 5 - 1 aggregate victory.

Gary Shanahan set Galway on their way just before half-time, before that lead was doubled by Ryan Manning on 71 minutes.

A third was added by Alex Byrne as Galway celebrated promotion, while UCD tasted relegation for the first time since 2008.
