Galway footballers Michael Lundy and Johnny Duane appear to have ruled themselves out of contention for 2016.

Both players have moved to the United States with no indication over when they plan to return.

Lundy - who former Galway forward Michael Meehan looked at in detail during the 2015 Championship for Off The Ball - and Duane featured for Kevin Walsh's side as they reached round four of the qualifiers, and ultimately defeat to Donegal, this year.

According to the Irish Examiner, both players could make themselves available to represent New York in the Connacht championship.
