The injured Finian Hanley has been left out of the Galway team to face Mayo in Sundays Connacht senior football Championship clash in Pearse stadium.

The defender has been struggling with a shoulder injury of late. Colin Forde takes the number 3 jersey while wing back Gareth Bradshaw takes over the Captaincy.

Niall Coleman starts in midfield while Michael Meehan and Sean Armstrong are named in the forward line.

Manus Breathnach who won an under 21 All Ireland two years ago makes his Championship debut in goal, midfielder Fiontan O'Curraoin is the only starter from their All Ireland under 21 success season.
