Connacht 20
Leinster 10
Connacht completed their remarkable season by being crowned the champions of the Pro12 following a blistering defeat of Leinster at Murrayfield this evening.
The Westerners obliterated the four time champions in the first half to take a 15-0 lead in at the break, with superb tries from Tiernan O'Halloran and Niyi Adeolokun stunning Leinster, while AJ MacGinty added a penalty.
Leinster started the second half better and Johnny Sexton opened their account with a penalty, but Connacht went on the hunt again for another try.
Moments after Tom McCartney went close, Matt Healy benefited from a clever MacGinty grubber to touch down.
Sean Cronin ensured a nervy end to the contest when he crossed 15 minutes from time, but Connacht were not to be denied a historic first ever major trophy.
