Gaelic Games have a higher drop-out rate than their main rivals according the latest survey carried out by the Irish Sports Council.
The survey has revealed that Gaelic Games account for almost a quarter of all adult drop-outs, which is considerably less than the likes of soccer or rugby.
Among the other key findings is that many children, particularly girls, drop out of sporting activities during second-level - despite evidence that students who play sport achieve better Leaving Certificate results.
