The GAA have confirmed that the Liam Miller Tribute Match will be played at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Tuesday 25th September.

The decision follows negotiations between the association and the organisers after a request to play the match at the venue was originally rejected.

The decision led to widespread criticism of the GAA with former Irish international Damien Duff describing the organisation's directors as 'dinosaurs'.

However, the association have backed down from their stance and a GAA event will also take place in advance of the game. 

Further information relating to the match will be confirmed at a meeting of the Committee and Cork GAA on Monday.
