Chris Froome is on the verge of completing his Tour de France victory, as the race prepares for its final stage and arrival in Paris.
Froome holds a lead of 5 minutes and 3 seconds going into today’s stage and will almost certainly be crowned champion as the final stage is traditionally a celebratory procession towards the capital and the finish line. It is accepted that nobody attacks on the final stage and any real competition is restricted to the sprinters.
Froome’s win would make it tow Tour wins in a row for Team Sky, for whom Bradley Wiggins triumphed last year.
