Ireland go into their final game of the European Championships group stages needing a win after a deflating defeat against Belgium yesterday afternoon.

While some will have criticized the performance of the team, it appears French newspaper L'Equipe were particularly underwhelmed by the display.

Three second half goals saw Belgium run out comfortable winners in the end and leaves them in a good position heading into their final group game against Sweden

Stephen Ward has come in for particular criticism by the paper, only scoring a 2/10. Shane Long, who spent large parts of yesterday's game being manhandled by Belgian defenders, is among the best performers earning a 4/10.

Goalkeeper Darren Randolph and captain John O'Shea also earn 4/10 ratings, while it was 3/10 across the board in the Irish midfield.

Do you agree with the ratings?
