Fionnuala Britton has been crowned European Cross Country champion for the second year in a row.

The Wicklow athlete is the first woman to successfully defend the European title which she first won in Slovenia last year.

The Ireland team also made it a day to rememeber by winning gold in a snow-clad Budapest.
