Fifa Secretary General Jerome Valcke has confirmed that January to February or November to December remain the two most likely windows for the 2022 World Cup to be staged in Qatar.
The proposal to stage the tournament during the northern hemisphere winter has met with considerable opposition from top European clubs and Associations.
A meeting has been taking place at the governing body's headquarters in Zurich.
European clubs, including the Premier League, had been pushing for an April-May tournament, but a majority were in favour of either a January-February or November-December date.
However, no final decision has been made yet.
