FIFA have announced that German-based firm, "GoalControl" have been chosen to provide goal-line technology for this year's Confederations Cup.
The system, which uses 14 high-speed cameras around the pitch to judge the flight of the ball, was picked ahead of the well-known HawkEye system, which is used in tennis and cricket.
This will be the second time goal line technology has been used, having made its debut at the FIFA World Club Cup last December.

If "GoalControl" performs well this summer, then FIFA are expected to introduce it for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
