Sir Alex Ferguson has said, in the wake of the controversy surrounding Mario Balotelli and Roberto Mancini, he thinks allowing cameramen access to training sessions “is ridiculous”.

“Cameramen want to be at training sessions, which I think is ridiculous, I really do. It’s very difficult for the coach then to do work related to a game because you don’t know what information can go.”

Photographers were at the Carrington training ground yesterday to get photos of the fight between manager and player- a disgrace that would certainly have caused the club significantly less damage had it been a private one.
