FC Barcelona have always been a team that have prided themselves on tradition.

The Catalan giants always refused to allow sponsors on the front on their jerseys, until the money from Qatar proved to be too tempting. The Qatar Foundation and Qatar Airways both had their brands advertised on the front of the kit in recent years, but it looks like the team are to return to their roots.

Along with their kit sponsors, the team have released their new jersey for the 2016-17 season, and the jersey returns to stripes, having changed to hoops for last season.

Luis Enrique's side won the Spanish double last season, after winning their fourth La Liga title in the past six seasons along with the Copa del Rey.

According to the club, the jersey honours the 25th anniversary of the club winning their first European Cup in Wembley in 1992. On that day, the side defeated Sampdoria 1-0 in the final tournament before the Champions League was created.

The team will be playing in Dublin later this summer as they meet Celtic in the International Champions Cup on July 30th.
