Cillian Farrell has stepped down as Meath senior hurling manager following Meath’s Christy Ring Cup semi-final replay defeat to Down, yesterday at Ballycran.
Meath lost the game 0-23 to 1-10, with two red cards sealing their fate as they fell away in the second half.
Farrell had been in charge of Meath since 2010, with his most recent league season producing a near perfect record of five wins from five regular season games and a solitary defeat coming in the Division 2B final against London.
