Keiren Westwood is one game away from being Ireland's only goalkeeper playing regular football in the Premier League.

Westwood's Sheffield Wednesday drew 1-1 with Brighton on Monday night in The Championship Play-Off second leg. They won the tie 3-1 on aggregate.

The 31-year-old has played 18 times for Ireland and was part of the Euro 2012 squad. Despite his experience at club and international level, Westwood has not played an international match since last June's scoreless draw with England in Dublin.

Such has been Westwood's performances for Sheffield Wednesday this season, added to the fact that he is one of a small amount of Irish goalkeepers playing regular football, the calls are increasing for him to be on the plane to France.

He has been named in Martin O'Neill's 35-man squad for the friendly against the Netherlands, but looks the most likely goalkeeper to be dropped ahead of the tournament. Irish fans, along with Sheffield Wednesday supporters are calling for Westwood to make the final cut after his performance against Brighton.
