Marc Wilmots may have only been sacked as Belgium's manager last week, but they are already on the look-out for his replacement.

The Royal Belgian Football Association have taken the unusual step of advertising the position on their one website. It's difficult to imagine another Association doing the same, after a disappointing tournament.

Wilmots left his position after Belgium were knocked out of the European Championships at the quarter-final stage after a 3-1 loss to Wales. He led the team to the quarter-finals of the World Cup two years ago before being knocked out by eventual runners-up Argentina.

The successful candidate should have a "proven record in transmitting tactical and strategical knowledge to top level players" and "experience and results in the currently fast changing world of football" according to the job specification.

Wilmots became manager in 2012, after a spell as assistant, and led the team to two major tournaments in a row. Despite his success in guiding the team to Brazil and France, the results and performances this summer saw him lose his job.

Belgium return to action in in September with a World Cup qualifier away to Cyprus in Nicosia.
