Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas says rumours linking him to a move are "absurd".

The Spain international has been linked with a return to Arsenal or a move to Manchester United in recent weeks.

Fabregas has struggled to become a first choice at the Nou Camp especially in big games despite coming though Barca's academy.

Unable to dislodge either Xavi or Andres Iniesta, a suitable position for him within the system has not yet been found.

Former club Arsenal are said to have first refusal if he is to become available while Man United have been linked with a €40 million bid for his services.

He only returned to Barcelona two summers ago after an almighty transfer saga between Arsenal and the Catalans.
