Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has warned that many of the playing squad may be sold due to chronic indiscipline.

Last week defenders Phil Bardsley and Matthew Kilgallon were pictured in a casino and we're left out of the squad for the final match against Tottenham yesterday.

The discipline issues prompted a lengthy rant by Di Canio in his post-match press conference.

"These players will not be here next year. Not under me," he raged. "It was disgusting. These people can't train with me. We were talking about strict rules. I discovered the day after that these people spent nearly all night out in the way you saw."

"I know someone can make a mistake. But every time we win, or we are happy, are we going to behave like this? It is ridiculous and pathetic," he continued, before stating that discipline at Sunderland's was worse than his time at Swindon Town.
"How can I play a player that probably is blurry for three, four days after what's happened? I have to tell you unfortunately I found a worse environment in terms of discipline in this club."
