Jack Grealish has been named in an England squad for the first time.

After changing his international allegiance from the Republic of Ireland who he represented from under-17 to under-21 level, the Aston Villa midfielder is in the England under-21s line-up for this month's Toulon Tournament in France.

Gareth Southgate's team begin their campaign against Portugal a week from today.

Birmingham-born Grealish has struggled to get into an Aston Villa side which will finish rock bottom of this season's Premier League.

Dropped and banished from the first team in November by former Villa boss Remi Garde for off-the-field reasons, the 20-year-old has made just over a dozen appearances in all competitions this season, many of them off the bench.
