Former Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert's revealed he offered to resign almost a year before he lost his job.
It's been almost 12-months exactly since he was sacked as Villa boss.
But following the club's 6-0 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League yesterday, Lambert says he saw that the club was heading for trouble long ago.
"There are obviously things happening there that are not good, whether that’s down to recruitment or decision-making, or whatever. I knew it was going to happen. That’s why I offered to resign after my second year at the club," said the current Blackburn Rovers manager.
