Johan Djourou's career has taken a rather strange turn, as the former Arsenal defender has tried his hand at acting in raunchy French films. 

The Swiss international spent ten years in North London, making just 86 appearances and scoring once for the club before finally upping sticks and moving to Hamburg on a permanent basis. 

However, Djourou has taken an unorthodox method to break into the film industry as he stars in a sex scene in French film N.O.L.A. circus. 

In a still from the film, the defender can be seen wearing a wig and sunglasses while he is closely marked (sorry) by a woman in an Arsenal top.

Djourou is actually an executive producer on the film, alongside fellow footballers and French internationals Louis Saha and Bacary Sagna.

“I shot the scene with my wife Emilie," he says. "It was a chance to break into films. I’ve now seen the entire film, it gave me a real laugh.”
