Roberto Martinez insists James McCarthy will be playing in an Everton shirt for a long time to come.
The Ireland midfielder has been linked with a move away from Merseyside, either in January or at the end of the season.
Arsenal are among the clubs believed to hold an interest in taking him from Goodison Park.
But the Everton boss says he is going nowhere.
"I'm delighted with James' form. I've always believed that he is a typical Everton player, that he can grow and that he can get better and we're delighted with him. He's got a long-term contract which is a huge investment," said Martinez, who took interest in McCarthy as a compliment to the player's ability.
