Everton are said to be closing in on deals for Wigan pair Arouna Kone and Antolin Alcaraz.

The latter is set to join on a free transfer, while the two clubs are set to be close to agreeing a fee for the Ivory Coast striker.

Both were key men for Wigan last season under new Everton boss Roberto Martinez.
