Everton are close to securing the signing of Leeds United right-sided player Sam Byram.

The Premier League side are in advanced talks for the highly-rated winger and full-back, who came through Leeds' academy before becoming a key first team player.

The deal is believed to be in the region of €6.5 million.

The 22-year-old, who has made almost 150 first team appearances for Leeds, turned down a new contract offer from the club earlier in the season. 

He has three goals in 23 Championship games this season.
