UEFA have confirmed that Europa league winners will be given a Champions league place from 2015 onwards.

The move has been made to generate interest in UEFA's secondary continental competition.

This season Chelsea beat Benfica 2 - 1 in Amsterdam to claim the tournament which was known as the UEFA Cup until 2009.

UEFA also announced that Berlin's Olympic Stadium will host the 2015 Champions League final, while Warsaw will host the Europa League decider.
