Haas Formula 1 driver Esteban Gutierrez has branded Lewis Hamilton "disrespectful" for his middle finger gesture during the weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix. 

Hamilton won Sunday's race to take a six point lead over Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg in the 2016 title race.

But during the race, Hamilton was delayed behind Gutierrez while attempting to lap him.

Rosberg happened to be breathing down Hamilton's neck at the time and consequently closed the gap.

The marshals waved blue flags - which require a driver about to be lapped to move out of the way of the leading cars - at Gutierrez.

He eventually complied but Hamilton had lost time behind him and deployed a middle finger gesture as he overtook him.

Gutierrez was later given a five-second penalty for ignoring blue flags - although he cited problems with brakes and tyres for failing to move over promptly - but when told about Hamilton's gesture, he had this to say on Twitter:
