Cork will be glad to have Eoin Cadogan available for action again after suffering a minor tear to his Achilles in a league clash against Donegal.
Speaking to Newstalk Breakfast's Oisin Langan, the dual player confirmed that he was over his injury nightmare and is available for selection against Limerick in Cork's opening game of the Munster Football Championship this weekend.
The corner back has decided to concentrate solely on his football career at the expense of hurling, and the Brand Ambassador for Adidas explained his reasoning:
"You'd hope to up your game, focusing on one game. In saying that, I still miss the hurling but you have to be selfish and focus on one code. There was no massive turning point. I just felt that football had gone a bit better for me last year. I have good friends on both teams, so there's a feeling that I'm letting them down. You wouldn't want to shut the door on the hurling or the football, so you never know what might happen."
