England have demolished Ireland in the Rugby League World Cup Group A game in Huddersfield, by a score of 42-0.
English winger Ryan Hall crossed the line three times in the first half to help build an insurmountable lead for the host nation. It was 30-0 within just 23 minutes, and there was never any hope for Ireland to salvage anything from the game.
The defeat leaves Ireland rooted to the bottom of the group A table, on 0 points and -60 points difference after 2 defeats. England meanwhile move back into contention, following their defeat to Australia in their opening game.
