England second-row Joe Launchbury has been ruled out of Saturday's Six Nations match against Ireland.

The Wasps forward was included in the initial 23-man squad that was retained last night by head coach Eddie Jones but he has been forced to sit out the match with a hamstring injury which means that Northampton's Courtney Lawes has been called back into camp.

Launchbury has won 30 caps for England since winning his first cap in 2012 and started their Six Nations opener against Scotland, before coming off the bench for the final 33 minutes against Italy.
