Ernie Els holds the joint lead, with Frenchman Alexander Levy and Sweden’s Alex Noren, at the BMW International Open in Munich.
Levy hit two bogeys but salvaged a four under 68 in yesterday’s third round to pull level with Els and Noren on 15 under.
Else started with two bogeys in the first seven holes but pulled his round back and shot a second consecutive 69.
Noren hit an eagle and five birdies, plus one bogey, to put himself in the frame going into the final day.
England’s Matthew Baldwin and Denmark’s Thomas Bjorn were one shot back.
Of the Irish, David Higgins and Peter Lawrie are both 7 shots off the lead while Shane Lowry sits a further 4 back, on four under.
