Brazil have confirmed Dunga as the new boss of the national side.
It is the second spell in charge for the former captain, who lifted the World Cup as a player.
He replaces Luiz Felipe Scolari, who departed the role shortly after their 7-1 World Cup humiliation to Germany.
Dunga led Brazil to glory in the 2007 Copa America and 2009 Confederations Cup. However his counter-attacking Selecao, who were among the pre-tournament favourites, fell short in the 2010 World Cup, losing 2 - 1 to the Netherlands in the quarter-finals.
Since leaving the Brazil post after that disappointment, the 50-year-old has only taken charge of Internacional, a position he was removed from last year.
As a player and captain, the former defensive midfielder symbolized a more pragmatic Brazil, despite skippering the nation to World Cup finals in 1994 and 1998.
