Dublin will be dining from hurling's top table after their promotion playoff victory against Limerick on Saturday night.
The victory by the narrowest of margins will see the Dubs playing Division 1 hurling next year against the likes of Kilkenny and Tipperary.
Limerick had beaten Dublin at Croke Park in the league just two weeks ago, and although the Dubs were taken right to the wire in the 1-16 to 1-15 win, manager Anthony Daly was understandbly delighted with the result:
"There's a bit of relief because it was a tight one. We didn't hurl for 35 minutes but we turned on a huge 35 minutes and maybe deerved what we got for our finish."
Daly was bemused about the first half display as he spoke to Newstalk Breakfast's Oisin Langan post-match. He felt his team looked relaxed heading into the game but felt they were lucky to be just a point down at the break.
But there was no questioning his delight at Dublin hurlings rise to Division 1...
