The World Anti-Doping Agency has doubled the length of time drug cheats will have to serve for taking banned substances.

Previously, two year bans were imposed for doping. 

However, as of today, that has been doubled to four years suspensions from sport.

Changes to the WADA code also mean that there will be less leeway given when an athlete misses a doping test.
