A second half goal from Djibril Cisse forced an equalizer for QPR at home to Reading which kept both clubs winless so far this season.

Both sides were in the relegation zone, needing a win to kickstart their respective seasons and the desperation contributed to a scrappy affair.

Reading were good value for the opening goal as a corner was headed onto the bar by Sean Morrison.

But the volley fell for Kaspar Gorkss in the box and he acrobatically volleyed past Julio Cesar in the QPR goal.

Set pieces

QPR had their chances to equalize from set-pieces and Esteban Granero curled a free-kick onto the bar from 25 yards.

But Djibril Cisse got the vital goal for QPR as he latched onto a Jose Bosingwa pass and poked past Alex McCarthy to make it 1 - 1.

And Adel Taarabt could have won it late on after he was played in by Cisse but his close range shot was turned away by McCarthy.

The draw temporarily lifts QPR off the bottom to 19th while Reading remain one place above them.
