Irish striker Eoin Doyle is set to move up a division as he has a medical at Cardiff City this afternoon.

The Championship side have agreed a fee - believed to be £500,000 plus add-ons - with the Dubliner's current club, Chesterfield.

Doyle has netted 21 times for the Spireites so far in League One this season, and is out on his own as top-scorer in the third tier of English football.

The 26-year-old arrived at Chesterfield from Hibernian, following a successful spell at Sligo Rovers.
