Promotional photographs for the fifth season of period drama Downton Abbey were released last week and they instantly made headlines. But for all the wrong reasons.

It appears someone left their plastic water bottle resting on the mantelpiece in one of the photographs.

The photograph has received lots of attention by both the public and the media and has many laughing and mocking the show.

But the cast are looking to have the last laugh and have decided to sit for this mock photo in support of WaterAid, a non-profit organisation based in the UK.

All holding water bottles, they hope to use the mess-up to raise awareness for WaterAid, that seeks to provide clean water and safe toilets worldwide.
