Manchester United are being linked with a €100M bid in order to acquire the services of Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller.

German TV channel Sport1 claims Louis van Gaal, who gave the Germany international his debut at Bayern, is willing to splash the cash in order to make a deal happen.

However, Manchester Evening News is rubbishing the rumours, saying that no bid has been made and that no contract offer has been made for the player.

United have already bought Germany captain Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern this summer, as well as securing deals for Italy defender Matteo Darmian, Netherlands winger Memphis Depay and France cap Morgan Schneiderlin.
