Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams both safely navigated their way through to the second round at this year's Wimbledon.
As the defending women's champion, Williams was the first out on centre court this afternoon and she needed just under an hour to beat Mandy Minella of Luxembourg in straight sets.
In the second game of the day on the main court, Djokovic has just beaten Germany's Florian Mayer 6-3, 7-5, 6-4.
There were also wins for Juan Martin Del Potro, Tommy Haas and Samantha Stosur, while unseeded Australia Bernard Tomic upset men's 21st seed Sam Querrey.
David Ferrer and Agnieszka Radwanska will be among the other players in action later this evening.
