Argentinian football legend, Diego Maradona, is no stranger to controversy and has just made headlines again after a video of him slapping a journalist was posted online.

The 53-year-old was being questioned by journalists after he left a theatre in his home town alongside Diego Fernando, and his ex-wife, Veronica Ojeda.

However, the journalist allegedly winked at Maradona’s ex-wife and the mother of his child, which caused him to angrily confront the journalist before slapping him in the face.

"Why mess with my wife if I do not mess with you?" he is heard saying in the video.

The incident has made headlines in his homeland and the video has already racked up over one million views online.
