On Saturday evening Sligo defeated Roscommon by five points in Markievicz Park in the first provincial shock of the summer, Anthony Moyles was at the game for Off the Ball. He spoke to Joe and Colm about the game last night on the show. 

Sligo's Adrian Marren spoke to Joe and Colm earlier in last night's show and mentioned how Sligo were motivated by the comments of Roscommon manager John Evans before the game. 

Moyles told Joe that he felt the attitude of Evans before the game seeped down to his players, where the Sligo team went into to the game relaxed and focused. The Meath native also game examples throughout the show of how Meath played against opponents such as Carlow and Tyrone when comments were made pre match that were used as motivating factors.

He also spoke about the supreme pre match confidence of the Roscommon fans. "They completed dismissed Sligo", Moyles told Joe about meeting Roscommon fans in a nearby hotel before the game. 

Colm added that the Roscommon side are nowhere near All-Ireland contenders, feeling the quarter finals will be the peak of their ambitions.
