Diarmuid Connolly is to have the case to rescind his one-match ban heard by the GAA's Central Appeals Committee tonight.

The Dublin forward is set to miss Saturday's All-Ireland semi final replay with Mayo, following his red card in Sunday's drawn game.

Yesterday the Central Hearings Committee had upheld the ban.

The player had struck Mayo's Lee Keegan in the second half of the tempestuous drawn game.
