Clare legend Jamesie O'Connor believes this year's All-Ireland hurling championship was far from a vintage one.

Jamesie joined ex-Kilkenny star Brian Hogan and Waterford manager Derek McGrath to reflect on Kilkenny's win over Galway on Off The Ball.

"It was a poor championship. There's no getting away from that. Apart from the Galway-Tipp semi-final, which was a fantastic match, we certainly didn't have the number of high quality, exciting games we would have had in recent years. Maybe that's partly down to sweeper systems and teams becoming more defensively-minded," he said, adding that the final was a huge "anti-climax" as Kilkenny got to grips with the second half.
