It's reported that Wexford hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald will watch tomorrow's Leinster SHC semi-final from a special box in Innovate Wexford Park.

Fitzgerald is still in the process of serving an eight-week ban, and is unable to serve his team from the sidelines for this crunch tie against reigning Leinster champions Kilkenny.

A 'box within a box' has supposedly been erected in the press area of the stadium to allow Fitzgerald to watch the game, according to a report on the Independent.ie.

Fitzgerald was issued the ban back in April on account of his behaviour in the Allianz League semi-final against Tipperary.

The Wexford boss encroached on the field of play to confront referee Diarmuid Kirwan and also got involved in a confrontation with Tipperary's Jason Forde as he was leaving the field.

Wexford decided not to appeal the suspension that was handed down to Fitzgerald by the Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC), while Forde was issued a two-match ban for his part in the conflict.

It was later reduced to a one-match ban after an appeal, which ruled him out of Tipperary's Munster SHC clash against Cork.
