Before last night's defeat to Olympiakos, the consensus was that David Moyes would be given the chance to ring the changes during the summer.
But after the Greek tragedy, the mood has shifted quickly and there is speculation about the Manchester United manager's immediate future.
However, based on indications from the club's Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, our European football correspondent Graham Hunter thinks Moyes will be given until Yule time.
"He is briefing that David Moyes will be given until Christmas at the very least. The indications are that Woodward is saying 'we'd like our manager to be more decisive in the transfer market'. However if you want to jump on and be realistic, if over the next three, four or five games there is any reproduction of the lack of quality and application of last night, then this story would shift I think," said Graham who added that the first seeds of doubt in boardroom about Moyes were scattered after last night's farcical performance.
