Dave Brailsford says he won't resign as Team Sky cycling boss.

He is come under growing pressure over controversy surrounding a 'mystery package' sent to 2012 Tour de France winner and five time Olympic gold medallist Bradley Wiggins in 2011.

The team claim it was a legal decongestant, and have denied breaking anti-doping rules.

Brailsford's told magazine Cycling Weekly that he is confident he and the team have done "what's right".

"My thoughts are about what’s good for the team and what’s right. We’re just here to win as many races as possible and do it the right way and that’s my primary concern and that’s what I think about," he said, saying "no" when Cycling Weekly asked him if he was thinking of departing his role as team boss.

Earlier this week, Brailsford acknowledged that mistakes had been made by Team Sky in a letter to the chairman of the Culture, Media and Sport select committee, Damian Collins.

But he reiterated his belief that the team was not guilty of breaching anti-doping rules.

Brailsford has also received public backing from some Team Sky riders, including Geraint Thomas and Elia Viviani, who both said they were "100%" behind their team boss.
